Thanks, Skype was not the problem in 2011.. hell knows which add-on destroyed Web Developer toolbar – had to uninstall almost all of them..

Hi!
Firefox 3.6.6. It seems that neither Skype, nor Microsoft’s addon. Web Developer toolbar disappeared :( Fortunately can access options thru menu.

For me the problem was Microsoft .Net Framework Assistant that I disabled as it can’t be uninstalled.

Favicon Picker 3 was causing the problem for me. I uninstalled it and, viola, the Web Developer Toolbar was back.

Hey… I had the same problem… it was a problem with ThinkVantage password manager, I uninstalled that software from my machine but the addon was still there making noise… just disabled it and presto…

Yes, like Ryan said… “one month of pain”, although in my case is probably more than a month…

Another fix I found while searching on google is to right-click on Web Developer toolbar and go to “Customize”… once you’re in, just click on the “Restore Default Set” button… and voila!

I have also uninstalled Skype Extension just to make sure… I had it disabled anyway…

I had the same issue, but uninstalling Skype didn’t completely fix it for me. I used DerrickE solution @ http://chrispederick.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=2238 (customizing the toolbar and restoring the default set) and my beloved toolbar is back. Thanks for the tip!
