California Institute of Technology

Working with CalTech was about accessibility and web standards. Their previous design for their Human Resources department wasn't bad, but the way it was built was awful.

I worked on developing a CSS based design which matched their table based one, and transformed their menu of images into an accessible and updateable menu. Improving their accessibility was key to the success of this work. As a result, more people who read the Internet differently are able to view this particular department's website.

Wedding Bakes

Wedding Bakes are a new company based in Manchester, UK. Not your atypical wedding cake site (white and purple), but they wanted to stand out from the rest of the crowd, and their site is definately memorable. Since their target market is most of the UK, they decided that embracing the Internet was the best way to attract customers.

Integrated into a CMS, the clients are easily able to update their own site, and add more photos to their galleries. Another feature of their site is the customer interaction. Customers are able to log-on and see the progress of their cake, this feature has received great feedback, the customers really appreciate being kept up-to-date.

Together with taking care of their website, I manage their domains and hosting to provide a complete website package.

Reverse Mortgage Oregon

Although mortgage lenders are feeling the effect of the credit crunch, Reverse Mortgage Oregon decided that they needed to spruce up their old website to increase their conversion rates. Their old site was dated, and lacked life, something which has now been rectified.

As interest rates change frequently, the client needed a solution to keep the site updated, therefore the design was integrated into a CMS which the clients were very pleased about. The client also needed a hosting and email solution, and I have been able to provide this much to their satisfaction.

Morko Products

Morko Products are a Texas based company who sell specialised equipment for sewing machines. The makeover of their site had to be colourful and fresh. Previously products couldn't be bought online, but I implemented a PayPal solution, which meant that the client could increase the amount of sales immensely.

Again, the focus was on accessibility and usability, and we have had great feedback from the users of the website.
