Well Craig, we sure hope you made it to LA on time for your flight to New Zealand! We have enjoyed following your blog and hope you find the time to finish it soon. Having viewed your latest video, you seem to be holding up really well. You still look as good as you did when we met up with you just outside of Chicago! We enjoyed meeting you and wish you the very best in the future! Keep chasing your dreams.......you never know where they will take you! Thanks for the inspiration!
Congrats on your huge accomplishment and all the best,

Great job Craig!!! We have been following you on occasion here and on twitter. Apparently, you have completed the entire journey and lived to tell about it. I am sure it has been wonderful learning experience and something that you will never forget. I hope you don't wait too long before getting on a bicycle again for at least a short ride!!!

dcMike!!! I know exactly what you mean about the fireflies, I was riding till 3am this morning along Route 30, something caught my eye and since it wasn't busy I turned off my head-torch. There were hundreds of fireflies, all buzzing around lighting the place up. Never seen one till this trip!

I hope you were foraging on the trail and came back with a plentiful supply of goodies!

Hi Craig. I'm checking up on you. It's dcMike, here. Me and Elizabeth rode the Anacostia trail from greenbelt in the dark and thought of you. What's fantastic about it is the fireflies this time of year. Anyway, Hey! Good seeing on your twitter that you're still out there!

Craig, Nice hang today. I'm happy to have ridden with you around NYC and help send you off on your journey with a mapped route down to middle New Jersey. I'll be following your trip with much admiration. Best, Gil

Craig, it was so nice meeting you! Honored to be a new NYC friend, and looking forward to reading about your adventures on the road as I've wanted to cycle across the States myself for quite some time. Good luck on your journey and beyond!

You're right, I personally think that's going to be the hardest stretch. It's going to be flat, monotonous and taxing on the brain! Hopefully reading people's comments on the blog will keep me perked up! :)

Cheers!

Craig,

I just took a look at your route across the States and I have to say Palatine to Salt Lake City seems like quite a stretch to me - worst of all you won't even be able to have a cold one when you finish that leg !

Take it easy and best of luck. The Outlaws will miss you !

Hi, best of luck in your coming adventure across the USA. we too live in Offerton, but my son lives in Chicago and is like you, a keen cyclist , covering many miles in Illinois, so I was interested. Look forward to reading of your journey,
